Spring Paddling Skills Classes

We are partnering with the Vashon Park District to offer kayak skills classes in the warm water of the swimming pool. We will teach self & assisted rescues, as well as discuss safety gear choices for paddling in the Puget Sound.

The May Rescues class will be at the pool and in June we are adding the Basic Strokes class too. We will paddle from Jensen Point for the Basic Strokes class on Saturday, June 15th and Basic Rescues (in the pool) on Sunday, June 16th. These combo classes are great for anyone new to kayaking or wanting to focus on technique. If you want to take the June combo class, send us an email or call us and we will get you registered for both and provide the combo class discount.

Low Tide Celebration

July 6,2019

We love this event and bring our paddle boards and aqua viewers to look into the eel grass while floating above the creatures.

  • Beach naturalists find and identify marine creatures in the tide pools.

  • Island experts share their photos and information on the plants and animals of the region.

  • Food for you to enjoy while browsing the booths.

  • Lighthouse activities

  • Welcome the Canoe

If you would like to ride an e-bike to the festivities, we have rentals available for a day of riding and tide pooling.
