It all started when...

We moved to Vashon Island in 2011 and realized we had landed on an island paradise. There may not be palm trees and tropical breezes but the natural beauty and the sense of community is second to none. We knew we wanted to share the magic but protect the environment too.

Vashon Watersports was our first island business - kayak and standup paddle board rentals in Quartermaster Harbor. We offer guided tours, hourly rentals and classes in a protected harbor for all ages & experience levels. For those wanting a little more adventure, we offer kayak camping options and point to point paddling.

In 2016 we partnered with King County Parks to offer primitive camping at the Maury Island Marine Park. Beachfront campsites facing Mount Rainier offer breathtaking views amongst the madrone trees. We are thrilled that the pilot was a success and we will continue to offer camping for years to come.

2017 brought us back to terra firma with the opening of Vashon E-Bike. We offer a large rental fleet of electric bikes so more people can enjoy the island on 2 wheels, regardless of fitness level.

In 2018 we started our partnership with Argosy Cruises and Washington State Parks to provide kayaking at Blake Island State Park. We offer guided tours and hourly rentals during the summer.

Vashon Adventures is where all the pieces come together in a single place. Pick and choose what you want to do and how you want to do it. We want to make your Vashon adventure whatever you dream it to be and leave you with an experience you will never forget.

Our 2019 Adventure Team

Our team is here to make your outdoor adventures fun and memorable. Our team will greet you with a smile and set you up with all the gear you need, provide instruction so you feel confident on the water, roads and trails.

Susan E-Bike & Hiking Guide and Island Connector I've spent over 20 years on this Island and still find new places to discover, new people to explore...I'm a writer, nature lover and am perpetually curious. Join me on Vashon's many and varied trails, from walks in the park (literally) to hills that will challenge a bit and deliver rewards of breathtaking views of Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier and the Olympics. We'll open the day with coffee on the water, hike the trails, pedal electric bikes and close with lunch (indoors or out), maybe a short class in art or food, even a little wine. Vashon has it all and I can't wait to share it with you!

Karen E-Bike Guide, Teacher & Farm to Table Guru Enthusiastic Farmer, Chef and a free wheeling 20 year resident of Vashon Island, a Washington resident since 1996, I have pedaled end to end and side to side on this winding, hilly and mostly rural island. I am not shy to admit riding an e-bike has put more joy and less stress on some of our long, tough hills. Come ride with me and visit farm stands, beaches, coffee stands, pubs, bakeries, or just ride with the wind.
